Have you seen the flashing star?
For months now there have been sightings of a flashing star over the Isle of Wight, some think it's Sirus, others think it's a satellite and some people even think it's a sign of their awaited Teacher returning. But we deluge deeper and find this 'new star'' is visible throughout the world, night and day. Sightings of the star haver been reported all over the world and growing in numbers daily The first noted reporting was back on the 26th December 2008 in Holland.

A woman has been taken to St Marys hospital after a collision with a Southern Vectis bus in the centre of Newport town. Police have since closed the bus lane at the junction of the High Street and Pyle Street, as they investigate how she was injured. It happened at around 2:20pm on Thursday afternoon. The woman was first treated at the scene for head injuries which are not thought to be life threatening. The number 1 bus service is currently effected by the road closure and there are delays of around 10 mins because of slow moving traffic.

Swine Flu Confirmed In Norfolk PigsA sixth case of pandemic H1N1 2009 influenza virus in pigs has today been confirmed in the UK. Pigs on a farm in Norfolk have been confirmed as having a strain of influenza commonly known as ‘swine flu’ in people. This follows earlier cases in Northern Ireland. Routine scanning surveillance has confirmed that the strain of the virus found is virtually identical to strains currently circulating in humans. It is not uncommon for pigs to be affected by influenza. Influenza in pigs is not a notifiable disease.
